1. Our Mission and The Marketplace

  • ​The Edge provides a platform designed to empower small businesses and provide customers with genuine value. By accessing our marketplace, you agree to support a community built on financial and social growth and to act with integrity toward all members.

2. Account Eligibility and Trust

  • ​To maintain a "trusted community," all users must:
  • ​Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • ​Be at least 18 years of age.
  • ​Be responsible for all activity occurring under their account.
  • ​Small Businesses: Must verify their business status as requested by The Edge to ensure community transparency.

​3. Roles and Responsibilities

  • ​The Edge acts as a venue to allow small businesses and customers to connect.
  • ​Sellers: You are responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the items you list, and for fulfilling orders promptly.
  • ​Buyers: You are responsible for reading the full item listing before making a commitment to buy.
  • ​The Edge: We reserve the right to remove any listing or user that undermines the "genuine value" or "equal opportunity" mission of our community.

​4. Marketplace Payments and Fees

  • ​Transaction Fees: To keep the platform running and growing, The Edge may collect a percentage of each sale. All fees will be clearly disclosed to sellers.
  • ​Payment Processing: Payments are handled via secure third-party processors. By using The Edge, you agree to their terms as well.

5. Prohibited Conduct

  • ​To protect our social growth mission, the following are strictly prohibited:
  • ​Discriminatory behavior or language.
  • ​Shill bidding or price manipulation.
  • ​Circumventing the marketplace to complete a transaction "off-platform" to avoid fees.
  • ​Harassment of small business owners or customers.

​6. Limitation of Liability

  • ​The Edge is not responsible for the products sold by independent small businesses. While we strive for a "trusted community," we do not guarantee the quality of items or the truthfulness of listings. Your use of the marketplace is at your own risk.

7. Dispute Resolution

  • ​In the spirit of community, we encourage users to resolve disputes directly. If a resolution cannot be reached, The Edge may offer non-binding mediation at its discretion to help maintain social harmony within the platform.

Return and Refund Policy

1. Our Commitment to Value

  • ​We want you to shop with confidence. If an item you receive does not meet our standard of "genuine value"—meaning it is damaged, defective, or significantly different from the listing—we will ensure the situation is corrected through a return, replacement, or refund.

​2. The Return Window

  • ​To support small business cash flow while protecting customers, we operate on a standard 30-day window:
  • ​Notification: You must initiate a return request within 14 days of delivery.
  • ​Return Shipment: Once approved, the item must be shipped back within another 14 days.

​3. Eligibility for a Refund

  • ​To receive a full refund, items must meet the following criteria:
  • ​Condition: Unused, unwashed, and in the same condition as received.
  • ​Packaging: Original tags and packaging must be included.
  • ​Exclusions: For health and safety, certain items like perishables, custom-made goods, and personal care products are "Final Sale" unless they arrive damaged.

​4. Who Pays for Shipping?

  • ​Seller Fault: If the item is defective, damaged, or the wrong item was sent, the Seller (or The Edge) will provide a prepaid return label.
  • ​Buyer Preference: If you change your mind or the item doesn't fit, the Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.

​5. Refund Processing

  • ​Once the Seller receives and inspects the return:
  • ​Approval: You will be notified of the approval or rejection of your refund within 3 business days.
  • ​Payment: Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the credit to appear on your statement.
